Clear support when your child or teen is struggling

When a child is overwhelmed, anxious, irritable, having trouble focusing, or no longer functioning like themselves, families often find themselves asking the same questions:

What is going on?
How serious is this?
What kind of help does my child need?
Should we consider medication?
Where do we even begin?

At ijayMD, we provide child and adolescent psychiatric care for families across Maryland. Our goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and practical. We help families better understand what a child or teen is experiencing and create a thoughtful plan for moving forward.

Quality standards

You do not have to figure this out alone -

Many parents reach out after weeks or months of uncertainty. A child may be struggling in school, becoming more withdrawn, more irritable, more anxious, or harder to reach. A teen may seem overwhelmed, shut down, restless, or unlike themselves.

Sometimes families already know their child needs help. Sometimes they just know something feels off. Our role is to help you better understand what your child is experiencing and what support may help.
